Hand-fed Exotic Birds

Cartoon BirdAt Valle Birds you will find an extensive variety of hand-fed and hand-tamed exotic birds. We deal with reliable breeders to ensure that our birds are healthy, will provide the most pleasure and enjoy the greatest longevity.

We are constantly expanding and changing the variety of breeds, with new (and different) birds arriving on a regular basis.

Since all of our birds are hand-fed and hand-tamed, they are friendly and easy to handle. Below is an image gallery of birds that you will typically find in our store.

 Bird Health Issues

Do you have an avian-qualified veterinairian give your bird(s) a physical examination each year?

Aside from being neccesary for boarding at our store (health certificate), it is a good idea to preserve the general health and well being of your bird(s).

Birds tend to "mask" symptoms of illness as part of their natural survival instinct.  This means that by the time you are aware that something is "wrong" with your pet, the illness has probably been affecting the bird for some time.  Being aware of changes in diet or demeanor can be warning signs that "something" is wrong and may require a visit to your vet.  Additionally, changes in the feces is another sign that might neccesitate medical attention.  We strongly recommend that all baby birds be given a "well bird" check up within 7 days of going home, and have (at least) annual follow-up visits.

We encourage that the cage(s) be kept clean.  Periodic washing (the entire cage) with hot, soapy water, and after rinsing, an application of an avian safe disinfectant (Pet Focus) is a  good habit to acquire.

For households with multiple pets, WASH (sanitize)YOUR HANDS before handling your bird(s).  Certain conditions with dogs, cats, and rabbits can be transmitted to your bird(s).
